Camping is a great way to see Australia, and there are plenty of excellent options within easy driving distance from Perth. There are a number of national parks and nature reserves within a short drive of the city, many of which have designated areas for camping. If you fancy a longer trip, you can head north to the Kalbarri National Park, or south into Margaret River wine country. But you really don't need to head far out of Perth to find a beautiful nature reserve or national park where you can camp surrounded by the beauty of nature. Trip Preparation Of course, if you're going to have an enjoyable trip, you need to make sure you've got all the necessary equipment for your camping trip. It wouldn't be very comfortable if you forgot your cooking utensils or, worse, the tent!
