"Leave No Trace” Are Principles to Abide by for Responsible Boating, Fishing, and Camping



For the true outdoorsman, there is more to being prepared than just having the right clothing, equipment, and gear. A true lover of adventure believes that nature and everything that’s in it should be cared for so it can be best admired by everyone. The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics was established in 1994 with the goal of implementing practices for sustaining the environment for future generations to enjoy.

Hundreds of organizations across the globe adhere to these tenets. These simple rules encourage everyone, both young and old, to stand by these practices whenever they head outdoors. In Western Australia, these have been integrated into their set of Adventure Activity Standards, which are followed by instructors, leaders, and tour guides in the region.
